Presentation of the first volume of the leaders in braille of the Museums Capitolini, realized in collaboration with the association "Museum" and with the contribution of the association "Friends of the Museums of Rome".

Within the framework of the "Leggere il Campidoglio" project, addressed at making large sections of the Capitol Museums available to the disabled, a first guide book has been created in cooperation with the "Museum" Association and with the "Friends of the Museums in Rome" Association.

In the book " Palazzo Nuovo. I capolavori di scultura antica" there are charts for 10 sculptures of particular importance exhibited at Palazzo Nuovo, and almost all can be explored in a tactile manner: The Old Drunk Lady and the Capitol Venus in the Gallery, the busts of Caracalla and Pythagoras in the Emperors and Philosophers Rooms, the Young Centaur and the Old Centaur in the Salon, the Sarcophagus with the legend of Selene and Endimione and the Boy strangling the Duck in the Sala del Fauno, the Love and Psyches Group and the Dying Galata in the Sala del Galata.
The text, written by the Museum's Management is both in black and in Braille, is completed with images of the works of art in relief.
Inside the Museum the entire route is marked by plans in relief indicating the placing of works of art.
Accompanying visitors along the route and provided even more information, the book also has an audio CD produced by the Museum Association and can be requested at the ticket kiosk by the seeing-impaired who will also be provided with a CD player.
This publishing project has also planned the publication of two more guide books, one dedicated to the 'Appartamento dei Conservatori', now being published, and another dedicated to the epigraphs at the Lapidaria Gallery, and will be presented when this Museum space is opened to the public.
