Cooking with Feeling
Season of films on the Caffarelli Terrace.
A series of films which, in differing ways, focus on food - as well as on the characters and their feelings, their families, their loves, love itself. A festive meal or an everyday snack can become the bond which holds together emotional relations (weak or strong), a moment of truth, a regular appointment, a looking glass reflecting back emotional or social status.
These are films by great directors who have justly put together food and the act of preparing it at the centre of the ordinary or extraordinary existences of "common people", or of very uncommon people.
Each evening, Anna Maria Mori hosts the presentation of the film and meetings with the various protagonists of the films.
As well as this, the leading food of each film will make an appearance: the richly-laden tables seen in the films will be brought to life on the Caffarelli Terrace in Giulia Mafai's re-reading, aided by important names in Italian film set and costume design. (In collaboration with the National Union of Italian Cinema Journalists).
The season has been organised with the kind assistance of the Associazione Civita, the National Union of Italian Cinema Journalists, Cinecittà International and the National Film School.

C'ERA UNA VOLTA ("Once Upon a Time") by Francesco Rosi (1967)
with Sofia Loren, Omar Sharif, Georges Wilson, Dolores Del Rio, Marina Malfatti, Anna Bogara, Carlotta Barilli.
The director Francesco Rosi will be present at the screening, after having recently received a degree Honoris Causa in Paris.
