three centuries of music at the Capitoline Museums
21/12/2002 - 04/01/2003
Musei Capitolini,

This series of concerts offers precious evidence of musical expression from the 17th to the 20th century.

This season of concerts offers three precious examples of musical life from the end of the 17th century to the beginning of the 20th.
In the first concert two prestigious musicians play chamber and opera arias by some of the most important Italian composers of the late 19th century.

The second date includes the playful and ironic sounds of late 18th century Neapolitan opera.

Finally, the musicians of the "Ghirlandetta Amorosa" take on the roles of musicians in a court ball, one of the phenomena which characterised the musical culture of the 17th century, and play on period instruments.

The events are open to all for the same price as a regular entry ticket to the Capitoline Museums.
Booking is advised.
