Pintoricchio pittore dei Borgia

Immagine:
Il mistero svelato di Giulia Farnese
19/05 - 01/10/2017
Musei Capitolini

A magnificent Madonna, whose identity has elated scholars for centuries, found after 500 years and put on display for the first time, accompanies us through the marvellous paintings and mischievous court stories of 15th-century Rome.

The protagonists are the controversial Pope Alexander VI, born Borgia, Giulia Farnese, the beautiful, refined lady and not-so-secret lover of the Pope, and Pintoricchio, one of the most brilliant artists of our Renaissance.
